Julia Jäkel is an executive with over 25 years’ experience in media and tech industries and today serves as a non-executive director and advisor.
She is particularly engaged in the interscetion between business, politics and society.
Julia Jäkel is, among other things, a member of the Supervisory Board of Munich Re, the Holtzbrinck Publishing Group, a Non-Executive Director of Adevinta ASA and a member of the European Advisory Board of Google Cloud.
Until 2021, she served for nine years as Chief Executive Officer of Gruner + Jahr, one of the leading publishing houses in Europe. Julia was a member of Bertelsmann’s Group Management Committee and chaired the Bertelsmann Content Alliance.
Julia Jäkel is particularly enagaged in the intersection between business, politics and society. She currently chairs the “Zukunftsrat”, the Council for the Reform of the German Public Broadcasting system.
